Where are some inexpensive culinary schools located that arent $30,000 a year or more for tuition?

Can you give some names or point me to a website please? Thankyou.

  1. I think there's a really good one in Pa. I've been to a couple of seminars where they were recruiting students for this one. http://www.pci.edu/
  2. if you are interested in it for fun, then try taking some classes at a local jr. college or at the Y. If you want a career out of it, then the best advice (coming from the sister of a famous restaurateur) is to just start in a kitchen somewhere. Ask around at restaurants (five star ones, not the local eating spot) and beg your ass off for an internship. You will give them free labor and they'll impart some advice and maybe you'll impress them and they could hire you. experience is always better than a piece of paper that says you paid enough to know how to do it. good luck!
