What are some fun and descent paying careers in culinary?
I want to go into culinary. I work as a prep cook in a kitchen and I am starting to go to a vocational school. But I do not want to become a chef. It takes up too much of life and is'nt positive of a good pay. What I think would be cool is to own my own bakery/coffee shop somewhere and bake for it and own it at the same time, but I dont know if someone can live off of that.

- None really, in the beginning its fun but the pay sucks... And its takes forever to move up and the highest pay and position would be Head Chef or Executive Chef, unless you open your own restaurant and it becomes a total hit right off the bat....but even that isn't a sure thing. And realistically that would cost more to start off and get the ball rolling compared to getting any steady income just working somewhere.
