How dose classes work for culinary communtiy college?

I want to major in Culinary but I don't really know how the classes work in college. Is there basic class that I have to do before going into the culinary field? Because I want to get a degree from this. I wonder about these things. If someone can help me with this it would be great.

1. Visit an advisor at the college and ask for information on the coursework involved. You might even be able to get a tour of the facilities where the course will be taught.
