Culinary Arts major?

I want to major in Culinary Arts. I am really set on going to the University of Washington but I don't think they have culinary arts as a major. Infact I haven't found many schools that do have culinary arts as a major. I want to go to a university, are there any with a major in culinary arts? Maybe I am looking in the wrong section of majors though. What would Culinary Arts be under? I keep looking in art.

  1. I don't think the University of Washington has that major. There are some good ones in your area. I just checked out a good website for culinary arts. Its chef2chef.net. They list a whole bunch of schools in your area that have culinary programs. Washington State University offers it. (Western Culinary Institute is a Le Cordon Bleu Cooking school. It is located in Portland).
  2. Hi, There is a great school in wisconsin that does have a culinary arts program. Its call UW-Stout. Or check your local Vocational schools.
  3. A lot of the Junior Colleges in Washington will offer the Culinary Arts programs. Check out this site, it may offer you some insight. You could get your AA then transfer to Uof W http://chef2chef.net/culinary-institute/state/washington-culinary-schools.htm
