Culinary School?
My husband is wanting to go to Culinary School. He is thinking about the Art Institute of Nashville's Culinary Program but he wants to know how their program compares with other Culinary Schools (Le Cordon Bleu, Johnson and Whales, etc) We are planning to move to Las Vegas when I graduate college (3 years). He is torn because he can go to AI Nashville here and get some experience before we move or he can wait and go to Le Cordon Bleu when we move to Vegas.

- I don't think many compare with Johnson and Wales or Le Cordon Bleu. Having said that,it doesn't mean he can't finish and get a great job in the culinary field. I am a chef,I went to a local technical school, and had my own resteraunt ,but had to get out of the business due to health issues. Good luck,he needs to goforit!
- The CIA (ciachef.edu) is rated best in the world. Second is Le Cordon Bleu (in France). You get what you pay for. If you go to a good school, you make more money and have an easier time getting a job and better positions. My ex-husband did both the 2 yr and 4 yr at the CIA. They offer a ton of grants and we got over $50K in grants so in the end the school wasn't as expensive as we thought it would be. It was worth it. He is leaps and bound above most of the people he encounters in the field (knowledge wise and salary wise). The key is also a good externship. He went to GA for the 6 months to a country club that trains chefs for the Master chef exam. That experience was priceless! Good luck! (*If you like my answer best, please rate me as best answer. Thanks!)
- I am going to Le Cordon Bleu
