Culinary Schools?
I want to get into a culinary arts school, but my dream school has an admission requirement to have experience. Some of the job requirements are: - work in a commercial kitchen (e.g., restaurant, bakery, hospital, and college foodservice). - volunteer for a soup kitchen, hospital, or the like. Does hostess, waitresses, or bartending count? Does anyone else know any jobs I should take to get more experience? Please and Thank you! :]

- the best thing you can do (if you want to work in a kitchen) is start at the bottom and work your way up. Get a job as a prep cook, learn the basics and volunteer to help around the kitchen above and beyond what's expected of you. nothing beats a practical experience. I went to a culinary school, after i graduated potential employers wanted to know what kind of realworld experience i had and could care less what school i went to
