Culinary Schools..?

Wat are the best culinary schools to attend 2 after high school? I'm looking into chicago area or North Carolina areas mainly but open to other options depending on how good the school is... Actually yes CIA is my dream school but if i were to go i would go to the one in greystone, CA, but the problem is its too far and it costs a lot but who knows im def. not gonna give up on it tho bc i would love to go there!!! Actually i was looking at johnson wales too bc they came to my school in my culinary class and another reason s bc there is a campus in north carolina..

  1. the best of the best is called the CIA in New York (Culinary Institute of America). I dunno how much it costs, but that's the top..the chicago schools are also well-known. i dont know of any in N.C...
  2. CIA is best, for sure. It will run you about 20K per semester or more. Johnson and Wales has a campus in South Carolina. They are pretty good and offer more degree options than CIA. You can add on to your pastry degree with things like food marketing, restaurant management, nutrition, or even get a bachelor's degree in the single area of culinary arts or baking and pastry. I would say that if you are coming straight from HS, I would go to JWU, because it's a "normal" college to a degree. You'll meet ppl who are studying a variety of subjects and therefore your experience will be more diverse rather than CIA where everyone goes there to become a chef. They also have campuses in Rhode Island and Colorado. email me if you want to know more!
